One of the few book-length works in English about independent journalism in Belarus, a very controversial subject for the current government of Belarus (1997), that does not appreciate the reproduction of any material that disagrees with its presentation of the "facts" of Belarus today.

This book appears to be the result of a conference. (Possibly you are familiar with "Hannover Messe.") Almost no information is in the booklet about its provenance. For each of the 3 languages, there is an introduction to Belarus, a summary of the scientific and technical potential of Belarus, and a detailed examination and summary of each of these higher education institutions in science and high technology.
From the introduction: "More than fifty thousand researchers including nearly 1300 doctors of sciences and more than thirteen thousand candidates of sciences are involved in research and development."
